COVID-19 Postpones Society Events

Postponed

Due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Ohio, Governor DeWine has just issued a ban on community gatherings of 100 people or more. Because we typically have more than 100 people at our programs, the History of the Columbus Zoo program, scheduled for Wednesday, March 18th, will be postponed to a yet, undetermined date. Our April program on the founding and history of the Methodist Theological School, scheduled for April 15 has also been postponed.

We feel it is prudent to be cautious to help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus disease. Many of our volunteers and event attendees fall in the high-risk category so we have made the decision to postpone the Meeker Museum opening, scheduled for Sunday, March 29th to a future date.

Our Volunteer Appreciation event, scheduled for April 22nd will also be postponed to a future date.

We appreciate your understanding.
