Description

Any room in either of the two historical houses, the Nash House or the Meeker Homestead may be adopted. Please contact the Delaware County Historical Society for availability and price.

For example, decribed here is the Nash House dining room.

The Nash House remains much the same as it was when the young Slattery family first lived here in 1878. There have been the obvious electrical, heating and plumbing upgrades over the years, but the “bones” of the house remain original. The Nash furnishings and the reproduction wall paper make the house a showcase of the Victorian period.

The sideboard in the dining room is from the Schaub Tavern which operated ca 1850-1870. It was located where the current Delaware City Hall now sits at SE corner of William and Sandusky.
