The Moon Landing 50th Anniversary
The Sandusky Street display window of The Hair Studio presents artifacts, photographs, and articles remembering The First Moon Landing 50 years ago
Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed the first two humans on the Moon. Commander Neil Armstrong and lunar module pilot Buzz Aldrin, both American, landed the Apollo Lunar Module Eagle on July 20, 1969
The new window display features:
- A Console Television Set showing an image of the Moon Landing
- An Apollo Lunar Landing Module model, Astronaut Snoopy, and Space Bear toy
- Delaware Gazette Front Page with Man on the Moon headline
- Charts and maps, posters, and pictures about the United States great
achivevement in space.

Benny Shoults and Maggie Webb have created a wonderful presentation that brings Delaware history to life through historic artifacts, information, and photographs.
The artifacts in the display are from the Delaware County Historical Society’s extensive collection. Visit the Cryder Historical Center and Research Library at 157 W Williams Street to see more.
