The volunteers and staff of the Delaware County Historical Society are hard at work getting Historic Event Venue, The Barn at Stratford, ready for opening celebrations this week. In addition to the clean-up of the Meeker House (see earlier News Item) the Historic Garth Oberlander Barn is being transformed.

In preparation for official opening celebrations this week, the barn has been opened up, brightened, cleaned up, and fitted out in true party fashion.
The bars on the windows have to go

We removed the bars and shades from the windows to bring in the bright sunshine. Authentic barn doors were made for the doors.
