Rutherford B. Hayes

3rd – 11th Graders

Our 19th United States President was born in Delaware, Ohio.
What were his accomplishments here and for our county and for the nation?

This program has multiple versions, both in-person and online programs, from which to choose:
  • 45 minute video program focusing on Hayes Life in Delaware, and the new sculpture created by Mr. Cottrill.
  • A video program of a walking tour of Delaware led by Young and Old Hayes, reenacted by local historians.
  • A live in-person presentation of the Life of Rutherford B. Hayes.

Location:

We will share a link to the presentation upon request.

Length of time:

Video is approximately 45 minutes. The in-person programs can be adapted somewhat to fit your time schedule.

Cost:

We suggest a fee or donation of $50.00 for small groups (up to 50 people), or $100.00 for larger groups.

The Delaware County Historical Society is a non-profit organization funded by donations and memberships. In order to keep our facilities such as the Nash House, The Meeker Homestead, and the Cryder Research Center open and programs available, we would appreciate any financial contribution your school, PTO or organization can provide.

These fees are negotiable so that all children and interested adult groups can receive the benefit of our programs.
